UAE, 4 December, 2024 : The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has reminded businesses subject to Corporate Tax to file their tax returns and settle payments by the legal deadlines to avoid administrative penalties.
FTA Decision (7) of 2024 extended the deadline for filing tax returns and settling payments to 31 December 2024 for tax periods ending on or before 29 February 2024. This includes tax periods ending in December 2023, January 2024, or February 2024.
Beyond these exceptions, businesses must file returns and settle dues within nine months of their tax period's end.
Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Director General of the FTA, emphasized timely compliance to ensure smooth implementation of the Corporate Tax Law. He highlighted the FTA’s ongoing efforts to streamline procedures and support voluntary compliance through continuous communication with taxable entities.
The FTA encourages businesses to consult its website for corporate tax laws, regulations, and guidance materials.
