KSA, 5 December, 2024 : Saudi Arabia has signed key agreements with Kuwait and Croatia to avoid double taxation, aiming to boost trade and investment ties. The deals were inked during the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Conference held in Riyadh, chaired by Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan.
The agreement with Kuwait, signed by Al-Jadaan and Kuwaiti Minister of Finance Eng. Noora Sulaiman Al-Fassam, focuses on creating equal opportunities for investors and strengthening economic cooperation.
A similar accord was reached with Croatia, signed by Al-Jadaan and Croatian Deputy Prime Minister Marko Primorac. The agreement seeks to address tax-related challenges and enhance bilateral trade.
Saudi Arabia also finalized a customs cooperation agreement with Kosovo, signed by Al-Jadaan and Kosovo’s Finance Minister Hekuran Murati. This aims to streamline trade processes, enhance administrative collaboration, and adopt modern customs technologies.
The conference featured over 70 workshops, dialogue sessions, and an exhibition, drawing participation from nearly 90 organizations worldwide.
