UAE, 9 December, 2024 : Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee at the Federal National Council (FNC), met with Dag Hartelius, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs at Sweden’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs, at the FNC headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The meeting focused on enhancing parliamentary cooperation and strengthening bilateral ties in areas such as economic collaboration, artificial intelligence, green economy investments, renewable energy, and modern technology.
Both parties stressed the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in complementing official diplomatic efforts. Discussions also addressed regional stability, with Dr. Al Nuaimi highlighting the UAE’s commitment to tolerance, coexistence, and fostering global peace and development.
Dag Hartelius expressed Sweden’s eagerness to deepen ties with the UAE, praising its investment-friendly environment, which has attracted numerous Swedish companies. He also congratulated the UAE on its 53rd Eid Al Etihad, wishing the nation continued success and prosperity.
