Oman Ratifies Tax Agreement with Estonia to Prevent Double Taxation

Oman, 11 December, 2024 : His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has issued Royal Decree No. 62/2024, ratifying a tax agreement between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Estonia aimed at avoiding double taxation and preventing financial evasion. The agreement, signed in Muscat on October 27, 2024, is designed to enhance bilateral trade and investment by ensuring that taxpayers are not subject to tax in both countries on the same income.

Article (1) of the decree officially ratifies the agreement, as outlined in the version attached to the decree. 

Article (2) specifies that the decree will be published in the Official Gazette and will take effect from the date of its issue.

The agreement marks a significant step in strengthening economic ties between Oman and Estonia, providing greater clarity and fairness for businesses and individuals in both countries.
