UAE, 13 December, 2024 : Dubai International Chamber (DIC), part of Dubai Chambers, has launched a new representative office in Bogotá, Colombia. This marks the 33rd international office under DIC’s global network, supporting the Dubai Global initiative to establish 50 offices worldwide by 2030.
The Bogotá office aims to strengthen trade and investment ties between Dubai and Colombia, which saw AED 1.9 billion ($520 million) in non-oil trade during 2023, reflecting a 51% year-over-year growth. Currently, 131 Colombian companies are registered with Dubai Chamber of Commerce.
Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, emphasized the office’s role in attracting foreign investment to Dubai and supporting Dubai-based companies in expanding to Latin American markets. The Bogotá office will foster partnerships, provide market insights, and connect businesses in both regions to promote mutual economic growth.
