Qatar, 13 December, 2024 : Qatar’s Minister of Finance, HE Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, unveiled the state budget for the fiscal year 2025, with total expected revenues of QR197 billion, a 2.5% decrease compared to 2024. Oil and gas revenues are estimated at QR154 billion, reflecting a 3.1% decline, while non-oil revenues remain unchanged at QR43 billion.
Total expenses for 2025 are projected at QR210.2 billion, a 4.6% increase from the previous year. The expected deficit of QR13.2 billion will be covered through domestic and external debt.
The budget allocates QR41.4 billion, or 20% of the total, for health and education, reinforcing the government’s commitment to human capital development. It also prioritizes sectors such as trade, industry, research, tourism, and digital transformation to support economic diversification.
Salaries and wages allocations have increased by 5.5% to QR67.5 billion, with higher allocations for current expenses and capital expenditures. The Finance Minister will provide further details on the budget in an upcoming press conference.
