UAE, 16 December, 2024 : The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) and the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance bilateral collaboration and establish a framework for cooperation in banking and financial systems.
The agreement, signed by H.E. Khaled Mohamed Balama, Governor of CBUAE, and H.E. Tolibzoda Firdavs Nazrimad, Chairman of NBT, aims to promote information exchange, technical expertise sharing, and the development of efficient banking practices. Both parties will also collaborate on regulatory discussions and adopt best practices in the banking sector.
H.E. Khaled Mohamed Balama highlighted the significance of the partnership, stating, "This MoU reflects the strong economic ties between the UAE and Tajikistan, supporting mutual goals in trade, investment, and financial growth."
H.E. Tolibzoda Firdavs Nazrimad added, "The UAE is a key partner for Tajikistan. This agreement reinforces our commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and fostering economic opportunities for sustainable development."
The MoU underscores the shared commitment of both central banks to drive economic prosperity and support financial stability in their respective countries.
