UAE Ministry of Finance Hosts Forum to Enhance Federal Financial Reporting for 2024

UAE, 26 December, 2024 : The UAE Ministry of Finance (MoF) held its annual forum on preparing financial statements for federal entities for the fiscal year 2024 in Dubai. The event, attended by Her Excellency Mariam Mohammed Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for Government Financial Management, and federal auditors, focused on enhancing government financial performance and transparency.

The forum covered the importance of financial statements in policymaking and planning, adherence to Financial Circular No. 15 of 2024, and the oversight role of the UAE State Audit Institution. Participants discussed updates to accounting procedures and shared best practices in preparing final accounts based on the accrual method.

H.E. Al Amiri highlighted the ministry’s commitment to financial efficiency, stating that accurate financial reporting supports transparency, accountability, and alignment with global standards, ultimately advancing the UAE's sustainable development goals.

Interactive sessions reviewed key updates, accounting guides, and governance responsibilities, with federal entities sharing experiences and receiving guidance from MoF specialists. Case studies were also presented to enhance understanding of best practices in financial reporting.
