UAE, 2 January, 2025 : The UAE's stock markets posted remarkable growth in 2024, fueled by a strong economy, foreign investments, and IPO activity. The combined market capitalization of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) and Dubai Financial Market (DFM) reached AED3.905 trillion, up from AED3.648 trillion in 2023, marking a gain of AED257 billion.
ADX closed the year with a market cap of AED2.998 trillion, while DFM grew to AED906.9 billion. Combined trading value exceeded AED449 billion, with ADX contributing AED342.4 billion and DFM AED106.7 billion.
Trading volumes surpassed 142 billion shares across both markets, completed through over 7.2 million transactions. The FTSE ADX General ended at 9,414.460 points, and the DFM General Index closed above 5,158.670 points, reaffirming the UAE’s status as a premier investment hub.
