Oman, 7 January, 2025 : The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP), in collaboration with Muscat Municipality, has introduced three new e-services on the Oman Business Platform: the Lease Contracts Service, Financial Reports Service, and Interactive Guide Service for trade names.
The initiative aims to streamline business activities, attract investors, and enhance economic activity in Oman by adopting global best practices. The platform connects 48 government institutions, with 32 facilitating data exchange and 14 handling licensing procedures.
At the launch ceremony, Sayyid Saud Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat, praised the initiative as a step toward digital transformation. Dr. Saleh Said Masan, Undersecretary of MoCIIP, highlighted the platform's role in promoting innovation and supporting Oman’s comprehensive digital transition.
Ahmed Mohammed Al Humaidi, Chairman of Muscat Municipality, emphasized the importance of digitization in advancing Oman’s business environment. The event was attended by Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, along with other officials and stakeholders.
