KSA, 8 January, 2025 : The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) conducted more than 14,000 inspection visits in December, targeting markets and commercial shops across various regions in the Kingdom. The visits focused on sectors such as retail, construction, and used car spare parts markets.
During these inspections, ZATCA identified key violations including the absence of tax stamps, failure to issue electronic tax invoices, and missing QR codes on invoices. The goal of these visits was to ensure compliance with the Kingdom’s tax laws and reduce violations in commercial transactions.
ZATCA encourages consumers to report establishments with tax violations through its website or mobile app. The authority offers rewards to those who report violations, with incentives of 2.5% of the fines, ranging from 1,000 to 1 million SAR.
