UAE, 10 January, 2025 : H.E. Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, met with Ousmane Dione, Vice President of the World Bank for the Middle East and North Africa, at the Ministry of Finance headquarters in Dubai to discuss enhancing cooperation between the UAE and the World Bank Group (WBG).
The discussions focused on strengthening the strategic framework for collaboration and the Ministry of Finance’s role in supporting communication with the World Bank. H.E. Al Hussaini emphasized that the UAE-WBG partnership is a model of international cooperation aimed at achieving sustainable development goals.
Ousmane Dione commended the UAE’s leadership in development initiatives, stating the country is a key strategic partner of the World Bank Group. This visit marks Dione’s second trip to the UAE, reflecting the ongoing commitment to advancing their shared development goals.
