Oman, 17 January, 2025 : Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, and Finland’s Minister of Economic Affairs and Employment, Wille Rydman, met today in Muscat to explore ways to boost economic relations and joint investment opportunities between the two nations.
The discussion centered on enhancing cooperation in small and medium enterprises (SMEs), innovation, and digital transformation. Both sides also explored expanding investments in information technology, mining, and education, as well as sharing expertise in entrepreneurship incubators to support Oman’s national economy.
The meeting further delved into opportunities to develop the communications sector, vocational education, and partnerships between educational institutions in both countries, aiming to empower national talents and strengthen the knowledge-based economy.
The Finnish delegation was briefed on Oman’s investment incentives and the services offered by the “Invest Oman Lounge,” highlighting the country’s economic opportunities and streamlined services for investors. The visit underscores efforts to elevate economic and investment ties between Oman and Finland to benefit both countries’ development goals.
