Oman and Singapore Deepen Strategic Partnership

Oman, 21 January, 2025 : The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Singapore are advancing their bilateral relations through strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing partnership and cooperation.

Dr. Mohamed Maliki Osman, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs and Education of Singapore, highlighted the deep historic ties between the two nations. Speaking to Oman News Agency (ONA), he emphasized their shared goals, including achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

The 2nd strategic dialogue held in Muscat reaffirmed the commitment of both countries' leaderships to foster joint cooperation and explore investment opportunities. Dr. Osman also expressed satisfaction with the progress of bilateral relations, which was celebrated during the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties.

Oman is Singapore’s 7th largest trade partner in the MENA region. In 2023, both countries upgraded their diplomatic representation by converting general consulates into embassies, reflecting the strengthening partnership.
