Kuwait, 21 January, 2025 : Kuwait's non-oil exports surged to KD 23.2 million (USD 74.9 million) in December 2024, marking an increase from KD 20.7 million (USD 67 million) in November, according to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
The ministry's International Organizations Affairs and Foreign Trade Sector reported that 1,766 certificates of origin were issued for GCC exports, valued at around KD 16 million (USD 51.7 million), compared to 1,785 certificates worth KD 11.4 million (USD 36.9 million) in November.
Exports to Arab countries saw growth, with 336 certificates issued, valued at KD 7 million (USD 22.6 million), up from KD 8.9 million (USD 28.8 million) in November.
Certificates for European exports rose to five, totaling KD 179,413 (USD 579,000), and exports to African countries also increased, with three certificates valued at KD 26,027 (USD 84,000).
In December, five certificates were issued for the Americas, totaling KD 150,060 (USD 484,000), while exports to Asia and Australia amounted to KD 39,544 (USD 127,000) from six certificates.
The ministry noted that these figures reflect exports requiring certificates of origin, with Kuwaiti products including liquid gases, food products, polyethylene, dairy items, and copper rods.
