UAE and Uzbekistan Strengthen Financial Cooperation

UAE, 24 January, 2025 : His Excellency Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, UAE Minister of State for Financial Affairs, held a virtual meeting with His Excellency Jamshid Kuchkarov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan. The discussion focused on strengthening financial ties and exploring areas of mutual interest.

Al Hussaini commended the robust UAE-Uzbekistan relations and praised Uzbekistan’s progress in implementing its development strategy. Both officials emphasized the importance of expanding financial partnerships, building on the positive outcomes of Uzbekistan's government delegation visit to the UAE in November 2024 as part of the "Financial Leadership Program."

“We are committed to fostering financial cooperation with Uzbekistan to drive growth and sustainable development,” Al Hussaini said. He also highlighted Uzbekistan’s advancements in public-private partnerships and expressed optimism about closer collaboration in finance, banking, and investment.
