UAE, 27 January, 2025 : Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) announced a landmark achievement in 2024, registering 13,141 new companies—a remarkable 66% increase compared to 2023. This milestone brings the total number of businesses in RAKEZ to nearly 30,000, cementing its position as a premier global business hub.
Commercial activities such as general trading, e-commerce, and related sectors accounted for 53% of the new registrations, showcasing RAKEZ’s appeal to traders and businesses seeking access to regional and global markets. Consultancy followed at 24%, with additional growth in media, marketing, wholesale trading, and manufacturing, reflecting the zone's sectoral diversity.
“This growth underscores Ras Al Khaimah’s reputation as a hub for innovation and global trade,” said Ramy Jallad, Group CEO of RAKEZ. “We are committed to fostering business success with tailored support and a dynamic ecosystem.”
India emerged as the top source of new businesses, driven by strategic initiatives like the UAE-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). Investors from Pakistan, the UK, Egypt, and the Philippines also contributed significantly, highlighting RAKEZ’s global appeal and strategic location.
RAKEZ plans to build on this momentum by enhancing its offerings and embracing emerging industries to shape the region’s economic future.
