KSA, 27 January, 2025 : Saudi Arabia will host a recurring high-level World Economic Forum (WEF) global meeting in Riyadh, with the first event set for Spring 2026. The announcement was made by Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal Alibrahim, and WEF President Børge Brende at the conclusion of the 55th Annual WEF Meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
The Riyadh-based WEF meeting will provide a platform for global leaders, experts, and decision-makers from various sectors to address critical global challenges and foster cross-regional collaboration.
Minister Alibrahim expressed that hosting the WEF global meeting reflects Saudi Arabia's growing role as a hub for dialogue, innovation, and collaboration. He emphasized the importance of uniting the world to unlock global potential for a more inclusive and prosperous future.
Børge Brende also highlighted the significance of the announcement, marking a strong foundation for future collaborations. This initiative builds on the success of the World Economic Forum Special Meeting in Riyadh in April 2024, reinforcing Saudi Arabia's central role in shaping global discussions and fostering inclusive growth.
