KSA, 28 January, 2025 : H.E. Abdulmuhsen Alkhalaf, Saudi Vice Minister of Finance, participated in the "Super Return" conference in Riyadh on January 27, 2025, alongside industry leaders in private equity, venture capital, and financial experts.
In his speech, Alkhalaf emphasized Saudi Arabia’s economic development under Vision 2030, highlighting significant progress in economic diversification. He noted that non-oil activities now account for 52% of the real GDP as of Q3 2024, with continued growth expected.
Alkhalaf also highlighted the rise in private investment’s contribution to GDP, which has increased from 14.6% in 2016 to 23.4% in 2024. He stressed Saudi Arabia’s competitive investment environment, mentioning that the country’s capital markets are among the world’s fastest-growing and that the banking sector surpassed $1 trillion in assets in 2023.
He further noted the significant growth in small and medium enterprises, particularly women-owned businesses, which now account for 45% of SMEs. Alkhalaf reiterated that these achievements are part of an ongoing process driven by stakeholder feedback, aiming to maximize the private sector’s potential.
"Super Return" is one of the largest global conferences on venture capital and private equity, bringing together investors and financial experts to discuss the latest trends in the investment market.
