Oman, 28 January, 2025 : His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik chaired a meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council at Al Barakah Palace, during which he issued royal directives to proceed with the establishment of an Investment and Trade Court in the Sultanate of Oman.
The newly proposed court will serve as a key initiative to improve the investment climate in Oman by providing a dedicated platform to resolve investment and trade disputes quickly and effectively. These efforts are in line with the Sultan’s commitment to fostering a conducive environment for investments, supporting the country’s economic growth and diversification strategies.
The establishment of the court is expected to enhance the legal framework for businesses operating in Oman, offering a professional, efficient, and transparent process for resolving commercial issues.
