Oman, 29 January, 2025 : The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, organized the Oman-India Business Forum today. The event aimed to foster sustainable cooperation between the two countries through active participation, innovation, and leveraging their economic strengths.
The forum focused on expanding investment opportunities and joint projects across various sectors, including chemicals, engineering, manufacturing, ICT services, solar energy, health, agriculture, food security, infrastructure, and tourism.
Faisal Abdullah Al Rowas, Chairman of OCCI, emphasized the forum's importance as a strategic platform for business leaders and investors from Oman and India to explore new growth opportunities. He highlighted the focus on key economic sectors that drive growth and affirmed OCCI’s commitment to enhancing business partnerships between both countries.
The forum also featured several B2B meetings, where Omani and Indian businesspeople discussed potential investment opportunities. It was attended by Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, Piyush Goyal, Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry, and Harsha Vardhan Agarwal, President of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
