Saudi Finance Minister Leads Saudi-German Roundtable to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

KSA, 3 February , 2025 : Saudi Minister of Finance Mohammed Aljadaan chaired the Saudi-German Roundtable Meeting on February 2, 2025, in Riyadh, bringing together leading private sector firms to strengthen bilateral relations and explore economic cooperation.

Aljadaan discussed Germany’s role as a key economic partner and emphasized Saudi Vision 2030, noting structural reforms, foreign direct investment, and a simplified investment law to boost competitiveness. He also pointed out Saudi Arabia's low debt-to-GDP ratio and the growth of non-oil revenues, with non-oil activities accounting for 52% of real GDP in Q3 2024.

The minister highlighted Saudi-German collaboration in energy, industry, and manufacturing, with Germany providing key imports such as motor vehicles. The meeting addressed opportunities in renewable energy, petrochemicals, mining, healthcare, AI, infrastructure, transport, financial services, and tourism.

Vice Minister Abdulmuhsen Alkhalaf underscored the importance of economic and financial cooperation, emphasizing the meeting’s role in fostering investment partnerships and benefiting the economies of both countries and the global community.
