Kuwait, 3 February , 2025 : Kuwait's finance ministry has announced a projected deficit of 6.3 billion dinars ($20.43 billion) in the draft budget for the fiscal year 2025-2026, which begins on April 1.
The budget forecasts total revenues of 18.23 billion dinars, with oil revenues estimated at 15.3 billion dinars, a 5.7% decrease from the previous fiscal year. The budget also projects total expenditure to fall by 0.1%, amounting to 24.54 billion dinars.
The budget is based on an oil price assumption of $68 per barrel.
