KSA, 4 February , 2025 : Saudi Arabia and India are seeking to expand industrial partnerships and cooperation in key sectors, as Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef met with senior Indian ministers in New Delhi on Monday.
During talks with Indian Minister of Industry and Supply Shri Piyush Goyal, Alkhorayef explored avenues for enhancing industrial cooperation, expanding partnerships, and attracting quality investments to support strategic sectors in Saudi Arabia. He emphasized the strong economic ties between the two nations and the potential for deeper collaboration.
Alkhorayef also met with India’s Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers Jagat Prakash Nadda and Union Minister of Heavy Industries HD Kumaraswamy. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in petrochemicals, fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, heavy machinery, automobiles, and spare parts.
With Nadda, he highlighted opportunities in the pharmaceutical and medical devices industries, while Kumaraswamy expressed interest in collaboration on magnesium ore extraction for the iron and steel sector. The meetings also touched on Saudi Arabia’s national industrial strategy and its upcoming Saudi International Iron and Steel Conference.
