UAE E-Invoicing Consultation: Have Your Say

On 6 February 2025, the UAE Ministry of Finance (MoF) released a public consultation document on the UAE E-Invoicing framework. This marks a major step towards implementing E-Invoicing across the country.

Why It Matters

E-Invoicing aims to streamline transactions, improve efficiency, and enhance compliance for businesses. To ensure the framework meets industry needs, MoF is seeking feedback from businesses, accounting professionals, and service providers.

Key Areas for Feedback

  • Invoicing Data Dictionary (PINT AE): A structured list of essential invoice details to standardize invoicing and ensure consistency. PINT AE defines key data elements required for invoicing, ensuring seamless integration, interoperability, and compliance with regulatory standards. Are all necessary fields included?

  • Excluded Transactions: Are there any transactions that should not be included?

  • Clarity & Usability: Are the definitions clear? Is anything confusing?

  • Industry-Specific Needs: Do certain sectors require additional details or flexibility?

Next Steps

The transition to E-Invoicing will be gradual, with a structured rollout plan. Businesses are encouraged to participate in the consultation to shape a system that works for everyone.

Have input?

Now’s the time to share your views (feedback) and help shape the future of invoicing in the UAE.
