SAMA Facilitates JCB Card Payments in Saudi Arabia to Boost Digital Transactions

KSA, 25 February, 2025 :  The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) has announced that the national payment system “mada” is now ready to accept JCB International (JCBI) cards for digital payments through point-of-sale (POS) devices and ATM withdrawals.

This move aims to enhance the payment experience for JCB cardholders visiting the Kingdom, allowing seamless transactions through local participating banks and licensed Payment Service Providers.

This initiative is part of SAMA's ongoing efforts to expand digital payment services and aligns with Saudi Vision 2030's goals of creating a less cash-dependent society.
