UAE, 27 February, 2025 : Egypt and the UAE have signed an agreement to enhance trade, investment, and economic cooperation. Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib and UAE’s Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Touq Al-Marri formalized the pact during the Egyptian-Emirati Joint Economic Committee's fourth session in the UAE.
The agreement aims to activate trade, economic, and technical cooperation, while negotiations began for a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement to expand investment and modern technology applications. Egypt highlighted recent reforms, including the Investment Law and industrial licensing regulations, to attract more investments.
The meeting coincided with the Investopia Summit, where international investors discussed emerging opportunities. Both nations also agreed to collaborate in industry, technology, renewable energy, food security, infrastructure, tourism, and healthcare to drive economic growth.
