Qatar, 4 March, 2025 : HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Chamber (QC), recently met with HE Alexey Gruzdev, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and his accompanying delegation at the Chamber’s headquarters in Doha.
The meeting was attended by several notable figures, including QC Second Vice-Chairman Rashid bin Hamad Al Athba, QC board member and Chairman of the Qatari Side at the Qatar-Russia Joint Business Council, Eng Ali bin Abdullatif Al Mesned, along with other board members and the Chamber’s general manager.
The discussions focused on reviewing the current state of economic and trade relations between Qatar and Russia, and exploring potential avenues to further develop these ties. Key points covered included identifying sectors with high investment potential, promoting greater cooperation between Qatari and Russian businesses, and enhancing the investment climate in both countries.
The meeting also aimed at finding practical ways to increase mutual investments and create opportunities for joint ventures, particularly in areas where both nations have strategic interests. The two sides expressed optimism about expanding trade ties and fostering closer business relationships moving forward.
