KSA, 6 March, 2025 : The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has urged taxpayers to take advantage of the "Cancellation of Fines and Exemption of Penalties Initiative," which runs until 30 June 2025.
The initiative covers fines for late registration, late payment, late return filing, VAT corrections, and violations related to e-invoicing and VAT regulations. However, it does not apply to tax evasion penalties or fines paid before the initiative’s effective date.
To qualify, taxpayers must be registered in the tax system, submit outstanding returns, and pay the principal tax debt. They may also request an installment plan, provided all due payments are made within the approved timeline.
ZATCA encourages taxpayers to review the initiative’s details on its website and contact its support channels, including the call center, X account, and email for further assistance.
