ZATCA Continues “ZAKATY” Service for Eighth Year, Enabling Easy Zakat Payments

KSA, 6 March, 2025 :  The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has continued to offer its "ZAKATY" service for the eighth consecutive year, enabling individuals to easily pay their Zakat through the ZAKATY mobile app or the official website zakaty.gov.sa. The service provides a simple and secure platform for calculating and paying Zakat on various assets, including money, gold, silver, stocks, investment funds, trade properties, and more.

One of the key features of the ZAKATY service is its ability to calculate the Zakat owed on gold based on its purity, using a specific algorithm. The service is also linked to global gold and silver prices, ensuring accurate calculations. Additionally, ZAKATY offers a reminder feature to ensure users stay on track with their Zakat obligations.

Since its launch, the ZAKATY service has collected over SAR 730 million in Zakat, all of which has been distributed to individuals and families who are beneficiaries of the social security program registered with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. Zakat payments are directly directed to the deserving categories, such as low-income families, divorced women, prisoners’ families, and other vulnerable groups.

ZATCA emphasizes that the service remains available via the ZAKATY app and website, with secure payment methods including SADAD, Apple Pay, Mada, and other trusted services to ensure a smooth and efficient process. The payments made through ZAKATY are carefully monitored by experts in Zakat fiqh and calculation, ensuring the process adheres to Islamic principles.

This initiative continues to help individuals fulfill their Zakat obligations with ease, while supporting those in need across Saudi Arabia.
