Oman, 7 March, 2025 : Ocean Experts Fisheries LLC of Oman and Harbon Co of South Korea have launched the Oman-Korea Partnership Initiative to strengthen business ties and industrial cooperation between the two nations.
While initially focused on the fisheries sector, the initiative aims to integrate South Korean technologies into Oman’s market and expand collaboration across various industries.
“Our goal is to accelerate technology exports, support investment opportunities, and create a sustainable partnership,” said Lee Jung Kook, CEO of Harbon Co.
Key areas of cooperation include fishery farming, technological development, and industry exchange. The initiative will also promote trade, investment, and participation in international conferences and trade shows.
“By combining Oman’s vast marine resources and strategic location with Korea’s expertise in fisheries and industrial innovation, we can drive advancements in sustainable practices and export capabilities,” said Faisal bin Abdullah al Sunaidi, founder of Ocean Experts Fisheries LLC.
Beyond fisheries, the initiative plans to facilitate technology transfer, finance investment projects, and enhance production capacity. “Our focus is on making South Korean expertise more accessible to Omani businesses,” Lee added.
With South Korea’s history of innovation in aquaculture and Oman’s potential as an investment destination, the partnership aims to implement cutting-edge solutions that enhance productivity and sustainability.
