Oman and Afghanistan Discuss Strengthening Trade and Investment Ties

Oman, 13 March, 2025 : Faisal Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), met today with Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, to strengthen economic and trade relations between the two countries.

The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in key sectors, including trade, investment, logistics, and tourism. Both sides emphasized the need to develop joint projects that can drive economic growth and create new business opportunities.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of exchanging expertise and knowledge to support sustainable economic development. Both parties agreed to facilitate trade exchange and utilize available opportunities to foster closer economic ties.
