UAE, 17 March, 2025 : Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) Group has reported its highest-ever economic impact, contributing AED8.5 billion ($2.3 billion) to the UAE economy in 2024. This marks a significant increase from AED7.4 billion in the previous year, reinforcing the group’s role in supporting economic diversification.
In a year of expansion, ADNEC Group acquired Royal Catering and the Business Design Centre in London, broadening its venue portfolio and strengthening its market position. Its venues, including ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, ADNEC Centre Al Ain, and ExCeL London, hosted over 1,000 events and welcomed a record 5.4 million visitors.
The group also focused on sustainability, winning the Sheikh Hamdan Environmental Award and becoming the first MICE venue in the Middle East to be powered by clean energy from Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC). It also introduced TerraTile, a sustainable flooring product made from exhibition waste.
ADNEC’s event arm, Capital Events, facilitated over AED10 billion in deals at eight major events, while its hospitality division set records, with ADNEC Hotels hosting 1.53 million guests and Capital Catering serving 40 million meals. Meanwhile, its tourism arm, Tourism 365, managed 350,000 travelers, generating 250,000 room nights.
Group CEO Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri described 2024 as a landmark year, emphasizing ADNEC’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and economic growth. Looking ahead, the group aims to continue driving local and global impact in alignment with the UAE’s economic vision.
