UAE, 19 March, 2025 : His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser, met with former US President Donald Trump at a dinner banquet at the White House, discussing prospects for strengthening the UAE-US strategic partnership.
Sheikh Tahnoon conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Trump and expressed gratitude for the warm reception, highlighting the deep ties between the two nations. Discussions focused on expanding economic cooperation, particularly in AI, technology, infrastructure, and healthcare. Sheikh Tahnoon praised Trump’s leadership and economic policies in fostering foreign investment and strong bilateral ties.
During his official visit, Sheikh Tahnoon also met with US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to explore ways to enhance financial and economic cooperation. He emphasized the vast investment opportunities in both countries, particularly in advanced technology and AI.
In a separate meeting with US National Security Adviser Michael Waltz, discussions centered on strengthening regional and global security, addressing mutual challenges, and expanding joint efforts in AI, energy, and investment. Sheikh Tahnoon also engaged with international business leaders on AI-driven innovation, digital infrastructure, and industrial cooperation.
The visit underscores the UAE’s commitment to deepening its strategic, economic, and technological ties with the US. Sheikh Tahnoon is set to hold further discussions with senior US officials and business leaders to explore new avenues for collaboration.
