ZAKATY Service Offers Seamless Zakat Calculation and Direct Payments to Beneficiaries

KSA, 19 March, 2025 : The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has launched the "ZAKATY" service, providing individuals with an optional, secure platform to calculate and pay their Zakat. Available through the ZAKATY app or the official website (zakaty.gov.sa), the service allows users to make payments via trusted e-payment channels, ensuring a fast and flexible experience.

According to ZATCA spokesperson, Mr. Houmod Alharbi, ZAKATY simplifies the Zakat process by allowing individuals to directly contribute to deserving beneficiaries, including families in need of housing, divorced families, and prisoners’ families. The service is linked to the Social Insurance and Empowerment Agency in the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.

ZAKATY also provides users with the ability to calculate Zakat on various assets such as money, gold, silver, stocks, investment funds, real estate, and trade offers. It includes features for calculating Zakat on gold based on purity and tracks global gold and silver prices, as well as daily stock and investment fund prices.

Since its inception eight years ago, ZAKATY has seen growing engagement, with over 760 million SAR benefiting deserving Zakat recipients across various categories.
