KSA, 27 March, 2025 : The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has announced that its ZAKATY service has facilitated the distribution of over SAR 790 million in Zakat since its launch eight years ago. The funds have benefitted individuals registered under the Social Insurance and Empowerment Agency at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. The service prioritizes families most in need, including those requiring housing support, divorced families, and families of prisoners.
ZATCA spokesperson, Mr. Humoud Al-Harbi, highlighted that the ZAKATY service is available via a mobile app and the official website (zakaty.gov.sa). It provides a secure and convenient platform for Zakat payments through trusted e-payment channels, ensuring fast and flexible transactions.
The service enables individuals to calculate and pay Zakat on various assets, including money, gold, silver, stocks, investment funds, real estate, and trade offers. It also provides real-time gold and silver prices and daily stock market closing prices to assist in accurate calculations.
ZATCA reaffirmed its commitment to offering comprehensive Zakat services, making the process easier for individuals while ensuring direct delivery to those in need.
