Qatar, 3 April, 2025 : The Canadian-Qatari Business Forum (CQBF) held a key meeting in Montreal with Quebec government representatives to strengthen economic ties between Qatar and Quebec.
CQBF executive director Yasser Dhouib met with officials from the Ministère des Relations Internationales et de la Francophonie, including Nemer Ramadan and Charlie Martineau, to discuss investment, trade collaborations, and innovation in artificial intelligence and healthcare.
Dhouib emphasized the shared commitment to leveraging advanced technologies for economic growth and social well-being. He expressed optimism about translating discussions into tangible projects that foster sustainable partnerships.
CQBF continues to build strong business connections, having recently led a Canadian delegation at Web Summit Qatar 2024. The forum facilitated meetings between Canadian companies and Qatari stakeholders to explore investment opportunities.
Looking ahead, a high-profile CQBF delegation, led by former Quebec Premier Philippe Couillard, will visit Qatar in April. The visit will focus on high-tech healthcare and diabetes-related industries, further positioning Qatar as a gateway for Canadian investors into the GCC region.
