UAE, 7 April, 2025 : The UAE continued to strengthen its global competitiveness in Q1 2025, achieving top rankings across several international indices. The results reflect the success of the country's forward-looking governance, economic strategies, and commitment to innovation and security.
The UAE secured the No. 1 global ranking in the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) 2024-2025 report for the fourth consecutive year. It ranked first among high-income countries in 11 out of 13 indicators supporting entrepreneurship, such as funding access, government policies, education, infrastructure, and R&D transfer.
In the 2025 Global Soft Power Index by Brand Finance, the UAE ranked 10th globally, with notable positions including 4th in “Future Growth Potential” and “Generosity”, and top 10 placements in categories such as diplomacy, innovation, and space investment. The UAE Nation Brand value also rose to $1.223 trillion.
The UAE was ranked the second safest country globally in the 2025 Safety Index by Numbeo, with a safety score of 84.5 and the second-lowest global crime rate. The country’s strong legal framework, effective policing, and smart surveillance systems were credited for its high safety standards.
In logistics, the UAE topped the Gulf and ranked third globally in the 2025 Agility Emerging Markets Logistics Index, which measures competitiveness in logistics, business fundamentals, and digital readiness. The country was also recognized for its progress in sustainability and clean energy investments.
Additionally, the UAE ranked 21st in the 2025 World Happiness Report, leading the Arab world and surpassing the UK, US, and France. The ranking reflects strong scores in GDP per capita, life satisfaction, health, and freedom of choice.
These achievements highlight the UAE’s growing global stature and its ongoing commitment to economic development, citizen well-being, and future-readiness.
