UAE, 11 April, 2025 : UAE-New Zealand trade reached NZ$1.3 billion (AED2.86 billion / $762 million) in 2024, with NZ$400 million (AED880 million) recorded in Q4 alone, New Zealand Trade Minister Todd McClay announced at the AIM Congress 2025.
He attributed the growth to strong government cooperation and rising investment flows. UAE investments in New Zealand topped NZ$200 million (AED440 million), focused on food, infrastructure, and industry.
McClay said agreements like CEPA and a double taxation treaty are encouraging capital inflows, with growing interest from UAE firms. He highlighted investment opportunities in infrastructure, renewable energy, AI, and agri-tech as New Zealand rolls out major development plans.
