UAE, 14 April, 2025 : Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) reinforced its commitment to fostering UK-UAE trade ties as the lead sponsor of the British Chamber of Commerce Dubai (BCCD) stakeholder reception in Central London.
The high-profile event welcomed C-suite executives and UK industry leaders, aiming to boost engagement between British businesses and opportunities in the UAE. It comes as interest in the region rises, with over 30% of BCCD’s new members in the past year being UK nationals who recently relocated to the UAE.
The reception built on the strategic MoU signed between RAKEZ and BCCD last year to support UK companies entering the Ras Al Khaimah market.
RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad emphasized the growing strength of the UK-UAE partnership, noting Ras Al Khaimah’s appeal as a destination for British firms seeking a strategic foothold in the Middle East. “We are proud to support over 2,200 UK businesses, from startups to global players. Events like this are key to unlocking new opportunities,” he said.
BCCD CEO Katy Holmes praised RAKEZ’s active role since 2016, saying, “Their continued engagement, particularly in the UK, made them a natural partner for this initiative.”
RAKEZ hosts a diverse portfolio of British companies, including Ahmad Tea, A2C, Spatial Composite, Manchester Paperbags, and Waste to Wonder, further highlighting the emirate’s business-friendly environment and global reach.
