Qatar, 14 April, 2025 : Bilateral trade between Qatar and Indonesia reached QR4.13 billion ($1.13 billion) in 2024, up 13.5% from QR3.64 billion in 2023, according to Qatar Chamber Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani.
Speaking at the Qatari-Indonesian Business Meeting in Doha, held in the presence of Indonesian President HE Prabowo Subianto, Sheikh Khalifa described Indonesia as a key trade partner. He highlighted successful Qatari investments in Indonesia across sectors like energy, banking, and communications, while also noting the presence of Indonesian companies in Qatar.
The event was attended by senior officials, board members, and business leaders from both countries.
Sheikh Khalifa emphasized the close ties between the two nations and the shared commitment to sustainable development. He underlined Qatar’s position as a business hub, citing its world-class infrastructure and investment incentives aligned with Vision 2030.
He called for activating the MoU signed between Qatar Chamber and Indonesia’s Chamber of Commerce to further private sector collaboration, investment, and joint ventures.
Indonesia Chamber Chairman Anindya Novyan and Special Envoy Hashim Djojohadikusumo echoed the call for deeper ties, pointing to Indonesia’s vast resources and readiness to welcome foreign investment—particularly in sectors like renewable energy, technology, and infrastructure.
