Oman Showcases Culture and Economic Strength at Expo 2025 Osaka

Oman, 14 April, 2025 : Oman participated in the official launch of Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, on April 13, 2025, under the theme "Designing the Future Society for Our Lives." The Sultanate was represented by Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, along with other key officials including Sayyid Said bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Commissioner-General of Oman’s Pavilion, and Dr. Mohammed bin Said Al Busaidi, Oman's Ambassador to Japan.

Al Yousef emphasized Expo 2025's role as a global platform for cultural exchange, innovation, and sustainability, bringing together nations to explore solutions for a more integrated future. Oman’s participation reflects its commitment to international cooperation and its desire to showcase its cultural and economic potential on the global stage.

The Sultanate’s pavilion, themed "Extended Ties," focuses on three key areas: people, land, and water. Designed by Omani architects, it blends national identity with modern aesthetics and will feature Oman’s heritage, economic opportunities, and development achievements. The pavilion will also include a store to highlight Omani products and handicrafts.

In addition to the pavilion, Oman will host a range of events to promote its investment, tourism, and cultural assets. A major investment event is planned for next month, offering a platform to showcase Oman’s sectoral opportunities.

The Sultanate’s participation underscores its long-standing role as a bridge between continents, exchanging culture, trade, and ideas globally.
