Oman, 16 April, 2025 : Oman and Morocco signed several new agreements to enhance cooperation in key sectors including trade, energy, education, and tourism, following the seventh session of the Oman-Morocco Joint Committee held in Muscat.
The meeting was co-chaired by Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi and Morocco’s Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita. Both sides reaffirmed their strong historical ties and commitment to deepening bilateral collaboration, especially in economic, industrial, and educational fields, while encouraging private sector involvement and innovation.
Sayyid Badr emphasized mutual respect and ongoing consultation between the two countries, while Bourita praised Oman’s diplomatic role and expressed Morocco’s support for stronger institutional coordination.
The session concluded with the signing of four memoranda of understanding covering digital transformation, renewable energy, maritime certificate recognition, and sports cooperation. An executive program for tourism collaboration was also signed.
In a joint statement, both countries pledged to expand cooperation in culture, logistics, and investment, reaffirming their shared stance on non-interference, counterterrorism, and respect for sovereignty.
