UAE-Oman Strategic Ties Flourish with Strong Non-Oil Trade Growth

UAE, 28 April, 2025 : UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, highlighted the strong economic ties between Oman and the UAE during his official visit to Muscat for the ‘Advantage Oman Forum 2025.’ He noted that Oman remains the UAE's second-largest trading partner in the GCC, with non-oil trade between the two nations reaching AED 56.2 billion (US$15.3 billion) in 2024—an increase of 9.8% compared to 2023 and 32.4% since 2020.

Dr. Al Zeyoudi emphasized the strategic partnership between the two countries, which contributes to their development goals and promotes long-lasting business relationships. He also met with Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, to discuss expanding bilateral ties.

The forum, organized by Oman’s Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, focused on investment opportunities in emerging sectors and explored the future of the global investment environment.
