UAE, 1 May, 2025 : The UAE reaffirmed its longstanding support for Lebanon as Lebanese President Joseph Aoun visited the country, marking a new step in strengthening bilateral ties.
The UAE emphasized its commitment to Lebanon’s unity, stability, and development, continuing a legacy that dates back to 1974, when the late Sheikh Zayed allocated $150 million for Lebanon’s Litani River Project.
Over the decades, the UAE has supported Lebanon through major crises — including post-war reconstruction, demining projects, financial aid during economic downturns, and emergency relief during the 2006 conflict, COVID-19 pandemic, and the Beirut Port explosion.
Most recently, the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign launched in October 2024 mobilized nationwide efforts to deliver humanitarian aid.
