UAE, 20 June, 2025 : The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) recently hosted a Corporate Tax Awareness Workshop in Abu Dhabi, drawing over 940 business representatives and stakeholders. The session is part of the FTA’s ongoing nationwide campaign to educate taxpayers and encourage timely corporate tax registration.
The workshop clarified income determination, tax calculation methods, and compliance procedures under the UAE Corporate Tax Law. It also outlined the exemption from administrative penalties for late registration, provided applications are submitted and tax returns (or annual declarations) are filed within seven months of the end of the first tax period.
FTA experts conducted in-depth sessions on accounting standards, financial statement preparation, income recognition, and IFRS-based equity accounting. A live demo of EmaraTax, the FTA’s digital tax platform, guided participants through registration and compliance processes.
The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to fostering voluntary compliance through education, accessible resources, and ongoing in-person and virtual workshops. Taxpayers are encouraged to review Corporate Tax legislation and guidance documents available on the FTA website.
