UAE, 20 June, 2025 : Under the Patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) will host its first Climate Forum and a high-level meeting of the Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS) on 26 June 2025 at St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resorts, Abu Dhabi.
The two-day event reaffirms the CBUAE’s commitment to sustainable finance and supports the UAE’s net zero 2050 vision. It will gather financial leaders, regulators, and global experts to discuss integrating climate risks into monetary policy, enhancing financial sector resilience, and advancing sustainable Islamic finance.
The NGFS meeting will focus on incorporating climate considerations into monetary frameworks, reviewing progress, and setting future priorities. With over 160 members, the NGFS plays a key role in aligning global financial systems with climate goals.
CBUAE Governor H.E. Khaled Mohamed Balama highlighted the importance of green finance in ensuring economic stability and sustainability, aligning with national and international climate objectives.
