Qatar and Russia Collaborate to Advance Digital Tax Systems

Qatar, 26 June, 2025 : The General Tax Authority (GTA) of Qatar hosted a joint workshop with Russia’s Federal Tax Service, focusing on strengthening cooperation in digitalization and e-invoicing within tax systems.

Held at the GTA headquarters in Doha, the workshop brought together senior officials and technical experts from both nations. Discussions centered on digital transformation strategies, e-invoicing, and the development of integrated tax information systems.

The event also featured presentations on Russia’s experience with VAT reforms and electronic documentation, offering valuable insights into modernizing tax administration. Participants explored challenges and opportunities in expanding digital tools and assessed the broader impact of tax innovation on economic growth.

Both sides stressed the importance of continued collaboration and knowledge sharing to build resilient, future-ready tax systems that support sustainable development.
