GTA Extends Reception Hours for 100% Penalty Exemption Applications

Qatar, 27 August, 2025 : The General Tax Authority (GTA) has extended reception hours at its headquarters to accommodate the growing demand for the 100% Financial Penalty Exemption Initiative, which closes on August 31, 2025.

Taxpayers can submit applications at the GTA Tower during these times:

• Wed & Thu: 8 AM – 12 PM, 4 PM – 8 PM

• Fri: 4 PM – 8 PM

• Sat: 9 AM – 4 PM

• Sun (Aug 31): 8 AM – 12 PM, 4 PM – 8 PM

In addition, applications remain open through the Dhareeba platform until the deadline.

The initiative offers full exemption from financial penalties related to late registration, filing, or payment, subject to certain conditions. GTA urged taxpayers to seize this opportunity, reaffirming its commitment to facilitating compliance and supporting the business environment.
