UAE, 06 October, 2025: The UAE’s Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Technical Cooperation with the Federal Tax Service of Russia (FTS) to enhance collaboration in tax administration.
The agreement was signed by H.E. Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Director-General of the FTA, and H.E. Daniil Egorov, Commissioner of the FTS of Russia, on the sidelines of the BRICS Tax Heads and Experts meetings held in Manaus, Brazil.
H.E. Al Bustani said the MoU supports the FTA’s goal to expand international cooperation, particularly in digital transformation of tax systems, training and development programmes, and joint participation in international tax initiatives and events.
He emphasized that the partnership will strengthen the exchange of expertise, improve efficiency in tax systems, and foster closer ties between the UAE and Russia.
The FTA delegation also took part in the BRICS tax meetings chaired by Brazil, highlighting the UAE’s commitment to advancing global cooperation and promoting sustainable economic growth through effective tax administration.
